Any alumnus of the University of Wisconsin-Madison will tell you that Bascom Hill has a certain mystique to it. Many a student has trudged up the hill scurrying to classes. With Abe Lincoln at the top, you rubbed his shoe for luck & then hoped your late night of studying would pay off. My dorm was close to Bascom Hill and my memories of this iconic landmark were more often of long talks with friends, trying to figure out our ways in life. On a recent trip back to Madison to visit my nephew & friends, memories flooded my mind of how we still try are trying to figure out our ways in life. Maybe a different phase in life but still asking God for guidance as we experience this great adventure.
