Its a family tradition in our family that Grandma makes gingerbread boys & girls during the holidays 
It was time to bake this weekend so my nephew Kaden & niece Sakoa joined the family tradition by helping Grandma 
Out of the oven these gingerbread delights came to be decorated by our family’s newest pastry chefs 🙂 
Whether simple or fancy, Grandma’s gingerbread fills our tummy & our hearts

Do you know that back in the day — hmmm, actually a L-O-N-G time ago, my sisters dressed costumed me up for Halloween to be the Gingerbread Boy. They have never forgotten. And, I’ve never forgotten the song “Run, man, run —fast as you can etc.” Tonight our daughter is trying to make gingerbread boy cookies. Do you have Grama’s recipe? JS (aka John Schmidt, Lakewood WA)
