Its called the Golden Circle & we were lucky enough to stay three nights close to the start of this geological wonder 
The North American & Euroasian tectonic plates meet here so its ripe for thermal hot springs, geysers & amazing waterfalls

But amidst all that geological activity, there was a quiet beauty in those Icelandic highlands
