Your journey starts through the dark 1.7 mile St Paul tunnel and after that its all downhill
Fifteen miles, ten tunnels and seven sky high trestles are part of the Hiawatha adventure as you meander down the mountain wilderness
We traversed the trail this past August during the northwest’s forest fire season
Despite the smoke, we succeeded in conquering the trail & especially enjoying the amazing scenery of the Bitteroot mountains
