Our family has always had an affinity for Kauai, partly because my brother had lived there for over 10 years
This year was an exception & a real blessing to be able to go to Maui
With my dad’s recent cancer diagnosis, we weren’t even sure we would be able to go on this planned vacation
Since my dad had responded well to his first chemotherapy, his oncologist gave the go ahead for this tropical excursion
My parents, my brother & his wife, my niece & I enjoyed discovering this south sea paradise
We also discovered that the community of Lahaina has suffered much but they have a resilient spirit
We were very grateful to have this opportunity to visit & also to have some respite during dad’s cancer journey
