I’m so used to seeing Mount Hood having a pointed summit that when I was on the south side of the mountain last week, seeing the more softened summit was a bit of change. We hiked up above Timberline lodge & were able to see the skiers training in the snow. We also saw made it up to Silcox hut 1000 feet above Timberline. The views were magnificent even if there was a bit of smoke in the air.
