Ecuadorean Faces

Taking photos of people is a challenge for me but it can also be a joy. Last month when I was in Ecuador on a mission trip with Medical Ministry International, I tried to capture the lives of the people that we served. When I look back at their images it makes me wonder even more about their lives, what their stories are, what they thought of this strange gringo lady taking their photo. In the faces of the older folks you can see they have had journeys with many dimensions but good and bad. The joy of a brand new toothbrush can be captured with a young boy named “Lenin”. The solemness of prayer before clinic & also the delight of a grandfather and his grandchildren are captured. This is what I enjoy about taking photos of people, seeing personalities coming out on the images.SONY DSCSONY DSCSONY DSCSONY DSCSONY DSCSONY DSCSONY DSCSONY DSC
