You can fly from Miami to Key West in 45 minutes but if you want a more memorable experience, you need to drive the 113 mile chain of islands called the Florida Keys.
Its always been on my bucket list to drive down the Keys & when I had an opportunity to attend a conference in Key West, it was not hard to convince a friend to join me on this road trip.
Forty two bridges join these islands of coral and limestone. One bridge even makes a span of seven miles.
These islands (and bridges) have seen their fair share of adventure & of storms.
Leapfrogging between the islands was an adventure for us also & one that will always be a good memory.

Excellent shots! They really capture the flavor of the Keys.
