Its harvest season in the Yakima valley.
Not only are the apples coming off the trees, the grapes are also being harvested, getting ready to be fermented into a variety of fine wines.
My friends Nicolai & Lisa have asked their friends to help in this process & today was Pinot Gris day.
We sorted, we crushed (not with our feet 🙂 ) & then started the action of getting the pinot gris grapes made into this fine white wine.
Each step in this process is carefully mapped out.

It really is a science this journey of vine to table.
On this fine October day, it was good to appreciate the art of winemaking & the camaraderie of others who appreciate a fine wine.
