Being a pastor’s daughter, my mother was taught to serve where there was a need

Over the last seventy plus years she has served as a church organist using her musical talents

It has been a tradition for my mom to allow someone to play the last note of the church service (often a grandchild or a younger member of the church)

Whether her motivation was to encourage future church musicians or to have more participation in a worship service, all who participated were blessed

Unfortunately, this past Sunday my parents church closed where my mom has served for forty years

Although the last note at Peace Lutheran occurred, we pray that my mother has many more notes to play
Thanks to Saige Stocker for a photo contribution
