Trying to escape the stuffiness of London, Beatrix Potter landed at Hilltop Farm in the Lakes District of northern England early last century. Even though most of her Peter Rabbit books were written before she moved to Hill Top, you can understand why she felt so comfortable on this farm with its gardens, sheep & rolling hills. Perfect for the author to relish the country life & for this photographer to relish the photo opportunities.
