Faces are beautiful but a new beauty unfolds when the photo is in black & white. After recently returning from Peru, I gazed over my photos & enjoyed the color but history & story started to unfold when the black & white palette came into being. Some of these faces show a narrative that is hard for me to imagine in my North American mind set. Hard lives but ones that still have joy.

I agree with you, Shereen. B/W photos can tell so much more of the story because we’re not being encouraged to concentrate trait on the colors. I love the way you were able to catch their emotion, their hard life, their cuteness, their smile. Nicely done!
Beautiful!!
You must have an excellent rapport with your subjects. Great portraits!
