Colca Canyon

Its the second deepest gorge in the world  High in the Andes, the Colca Canyon is not easy to access  Traveling over a 16,000 foot pass from Arequipa, one has to acclimate before arriving in Chivay  Coca tea is one’s friend in battling altitude sickness  Once arriving, the Colca Canyon draws you into its enchantment  Active volcanoes, llamas, terraced fields & condors make you realize how rich this culture is in Andes of Peru  What an amazing opportunity to be able to experience this area in a small way & be blessed by the hospitality of the people of the Colca
